n8n AI Builder ("we", "our", or "the Extension") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our Chrome extension.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 User Input

When you use the Extension, you provide text prompts describing workflows you want to create. This information is used solely to:

Generate AI-powered workflow suggestions
Create visual workflow diagrams
Provide relevant n8n automation recommendations

2.2 Technical Identifiers

We generate and store the following identifiers locally in your browser:

Client ID: A randomly generated UUID for analytics purposes
Browser Fingerprint: A hash derived from browser characteristics (screen resolution, timezone, language) for abuse prevention

        Important: These identifiers are generated locally and stored only in your browser's local storage. They are not linked to any personal information.
    

2.3 API Configuration

You may choose to provide API credentials to use the Extension with your preferred AI provider. These credentials are stored locally in your browser and are:

Never transmitted to our servers
Used only to authenticate requests to your chosen AI provider
Under your full control (you can delete them at any time)

3. How We Use Your Information

Your data is used exclusively for:

Processing your workflow generation requests
Communicating with AI providers to generate responses
Preventing abuse of our API endpoints
Improving the quality of workflow suggestions

        🚫 We do NOT:
        Sell your data to third parties
Use your data for advertising purposes
Share your data with third parties for commercial or research purposes
Track your browsing activity outside the Extension
Collect personal identification information

    

4. Third-Party AI Providers

To generate workflow suggestions, your prompts are sent to AI providers. You can configure which provider to use:

Supported AI Providers:

OpenAI (openai.com) - GPT models
Anthropic (anthropic.com) - Claude models
OpenRouter (openrouter.ai) - Multi-model aggregator
z.AI (z.ai) - GLM models

Each provider has their own privacy policy governing how they process your data:

5. Data Storage

All data is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API:

Settings and API credentials: chrome.storage.local
Client identifiers: chrome.storage.local

No data is stored on external servers operated by the Extension developers.

6. Data Retention

Local data: Retained until you clear browser data or uninstall the Extension
AI provider data: Subject to each provider's retention policy

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access all data stored by the Extension (via Chrome Developer Tools)
Delete all Extension data by clearing browser storage or uninstalling
Choose which AI provider to use
Use custom API endpoints for full control over your data

8. Children's Privacy

This Extension is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
